Another Mass Shooting Shocks Citizens of USA: Seattle Shooting Key Detail

Police indicated that violence erupted after two men started shooting at each other in the midst of festivalgoers celebrating the last hours of the event. didn’t characterize the incident as an attack on festivalgoers in general, but rather as an apparent shootout between two people. Police and Emergency Response

Officers were present at the festival when the shooting started and managed to get to the scene in a matter of seconds. Police Chief in acting role, Tyrone Davis, said his officers “ran toward the sound of gunfire and tried to provide life-saving treatment to the victims.” even prior to arriving Seattle Fire Department paramedics.

One person – identified as a “juvenile” by police – was identified and arrested at the scene. A second suspect managed to escape police, but is also being searched for. Police have not dismissed the idea that others may have taken part in the attack. Police have assured the public that there is still no significant threat.

Federal ATF agents were on scene Sunday evening as the Seattle Police Department investigation was underway. Washington Governor Bob Ferguson stated that the SWAT team was also called in for assistance by police in Seattle. Officials React

Seattle Police Acting Chief Davis called the shooting ‘a tragedy, and I am very sorry for what happened here today,’ saying that the festival had ‘been going on for years without problems’ and attributing to the officers on the scene ‘what I believe to be a lifesaving response.’ Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and other city officials shared those sentiments, commending the first responders and residents who helped victims while shots were still being fired.
